Is it OK to just stick the integral eq into my 89 and spit out a number? will i lose pts, b/c there's no work shown?

do you lose points in FRQ for not showing enough work, even if you get the right answer? i.e., when evaluating integrals

on a calculator allowed section, at least write the integral out.

Simply stated, yes. It doesn't hurt that much too simply write what you imputed into your calculator on the sheet.

Umm .. at least show the equations and integrals etc that you used. Like they'll give you points if you get the integrand correct and stuff ... but I don't think you need any extra work shown, just the setup.

correct me if I'm wrong guys ^^;;

Also, when to use shells, and when to use washers/disks?

show the integrand, with the limits and everything (dx, etc.) and then just plug that into a calculator and spit out an answer rounded to 3 decimal places and you will get full credit

no, you're right.

as long as you include the integral you are going to evaluate on the paper, if you evaluate it by calc or even in your head no points will be taken off.
