<p>I'm skipping from precalc to Calc Bc and although I am learning calc A over the summer, will these topics be reviewed during the year? Also, what makes BC such a hard course?</p>
<p>It depends on how your school runs the classes, but officially Calculus BC is supposed to cover all of the AB stuff as well as the BC stuff in 1 year (some high schools have start BC where AB leaves off, though).
Some people might argue that BC isn’t hard at all, but it usually boils down to math aptitude. If you’ve been doing great in math classes your whole life you shouldn’t worry about BC, though if you’ve been struggling all along don’t expect any changes.</p>
<p>Precalc to Calc BC isn’t really a skip. You learn everything in Calc AB in Calc BC, just in a more accelerated pace</p>
<p>yodelo is right. Precisely, Calculus AB is easy. In college people tend to take Calculus I and Calculus II in one year. AP Calculus AB tests all of Calc I and a little of Calc II in one year, while BC tests all of Calc I and Calc II (except for some tough topics) in one year. </p>
<p>I took a Calculus I course in a local CC and then self-studied the BC topics and got a 5. So it is quite doable.</p>
