Hey guys. I want to review over the summer using a textbook for Calculus BC and English Language which I will take this year. Which textbooks are the best ones for these courses??

I have James Stewart's Calculus+ Concept blah blah but it sucks. Any suggestions?

My English Lang. class didn't use a textbook except for reading a few random selections from the school's standard literature book, and my Calc. (AB, but BC was the same) class didn't have textbooks either because my teacher hated the ones approved by the district.

I did the same for my language class... a few books about writing. One was called the Riverside Reader, and it taught us how to write different types of essays efficiently. My calculus class used a James Stewart book and it worked just fine. If you want something a little more interesting, I might suggest the Princeton Review's Cracking the AP Calculus Exam. It's not really a textbook, but I think it does a decent job in explaining the concepts for both the AB and BC exams.
