Calc BC: Hyperbolic Functions?

I'm self-studying for Calc BC. My teacher said we need to know the hyperbolic functions (hsinx, hcosx, etc.) but on the CB course outline, it doesn't say anything about them. Do I need to know them or not?

no u don't....my teacher never taught it

Thanks .

yea you dont need to know hyperbolic functions for BC
they come up later though in multi variable and diff eq

No, but you might as well know them (or at least their definitions), they're pretty easy.

Just make sure you don't get the differentiation rules for hyperbolics confused with the differentiation rules for trig functions.

or just dont learn them until you have to. which won't be for the bc exam

how are you guys studying BC? PR, Barrons, textbook?

practice tests + PR

peterson's. ap calc ab and bc book by mike kelley. best calc prep book out there

nope you don't need to know hyperbolic. we barely touched hyperbolic function is Calc III!!!
