Hey, I had a question about AP calculus BC/AB.
Currently im a junior taking AP Calculus BC, I dropped out second semester to AB, although my semester grade for BC was a 91%. I’m considering going back into BC since the semester just started. My orginal plan was to drop BC, master AB, get a 4 or 5 on the AB exam and then take BC as a senior so I could ensure I get either a 4 or a 5. If someone could please reply with any advice that would be well appreciated.
My gpa is 3.99 and I’m in another 3 AP classes.
Thank you
Why would you drop down from BC if you were doing well in the class? You do know there is significant overlap between AB and BC?
Since BC covers almost all of AB one semester, I figured dropping to AB would solidify my calc 1 credit and then I would be prepared for BC as a senior.
But why segment it? Why not just finish BC now? The AB credit isn’t prioritized over the BC one or anything like that.
I also don’t know what you mean by “solidify” the Calc 1. You may well take the BC test, since that’ll give an AB subscore.
Thank you for your input, I have decided to remain in BC.
