Calc III after a semester of no math?

I'm considering taking Calc III in the upcoming winter semester. I got a 5 on the BC Exam, however, thinking I didn't want to continue studying math at Umich, I decided not to any math classes in the fall term. My question, then, is how difficult Calc III would be after basically not having learned math since May? Would it be doable if I reviewed the concepts I previously learned?

You’ll be fine. A lot of the more in depth stuff you learned at the end of calc 2 does not come up in calc 3 (like taylor series, itegrating by parts, etc.) . In calc 3 u just need to know the basics of integration and some smaller concepts and you’ll be good. Calc 3 is basically just adding another dimension, or more, and all the new stuff that comes with that.

Thanks for the response! I’m assuming you took Calc 3, so I was wondering how possible you think it is to get an A in class.

I took honors and the class was curved to a B+. I have like a 95 without the curve so its not impossible. But I took this course my senoir year of high school and the UofM didn’t give me credit for it.
