Currently I am taking Pre-calc, on the way to taking AP calc ab next year as a junior in hs. I want to go to med school, so would I have to take math in college? What can I do to avoid taking math in college?
Thank you!

You can’t avoid math in college, especially if you want to go to med school. You’ll be required to take one semester of calculus and one semester of biostatistics (or statistics).
Although not all medical schools require math and/or statistics, enough do, and enough of them limit or do not allow the use of AP credit to fulfill pre-med course requirements, so you should expect to need to take at least one semester of calculus (or higher level calculus-type math such as multivariable calculus or real analysis if you skip single variable calculus with AP credit) and one semester of statistics, or equivalent math/statistics combined course(s)* in college.

If you look at AP Credit for Calc for premeds, it seems as though it may be accepted by medical schools but you should take a statistics class in college.
