Is it a good idea to take Calculus I, Physics(calculus based) and general chemistry in the first(fall) semester of freshman year? i am worried that the GPA would suffer.

I wouldn't. The first semester is hard enough just getting used to college life. I was pre med last semester, changed it now to psychology, and I was taking calc I, general chem I, and a soph level bio class (since I passed out of intro to bio with my AP score). That semester was absolute hell! Plus judging from the classes you want to take, you are either a science major or pre med. I reccomend only taking two (at the absolute most) of the courses you listed. You might end up realizing that you don't want to major in the sciences or become pre med, like I did. It's better just to sample a bunch of different courses your first year to really see wha you like, rather than taking mostly only science classes.

yea those classes are usually easy at most schools (with the exception of mechanics, but it's not that bad)... so you should be fine.. especially if you're a math/science major

All 3 in the same semester? I wouldn't.

In fact, I'd probably take Calculus and Chemistry first, then take Physics once you have a solid foundation in Calculus.

the Calculus II and physics are supposed to be taken together. I'll prbly finish the required English course during summer. What if i only take those classes mentioned and Intro to engineering(2 credits). Also Im taking these classes at cc, so i dont think they would to extremely hard. its only 14 credits.
