I scored a 4 on my AP Calc BC exam, and I plan to continue taking math in college, so I'm gonna take the calc placement exam online soon. I know it says on the info page to not prepare for it, but I don't wanna get a relatively bad score and have to take Calc II (I've heard rumors that it's actually harder than Calc III). So does anyone know how or what I should study? Do I need to memorize a bunch of formulas like I did for BC Calc?

I don't think I took the online test (I guess I wouldn't have had to), but in Calc III we got an index card to write formulas on for all of the tests (and an 8.5x11 for the final). So...maybe they aren't as in to formula memorization as AP is. Or it could have just been Yohe...

anyone else?

about how many out of 30 do you need to get correct to be recommended for calc III?

60% so about...18 +??

I'm a bit confused here...say if I passed the calc II placement test, would I be recommended for calc II or III?

I'm pretty sure there's just one placement test, and the results of the test will give an idea of what level of calc you should be in next year.

There are 3. More info here:

oh, thank you! eleph, do you know if it's best to take the calc II or calc III placement exam after taking AB calc?
