I signed up for my classes and I got Professor Arrington as my prof for calculus. I read some of the reviews on ratemyproffessors and a lot of them were bad. Is she as bad as they say? I take honors calculus now if that helps. I really don't want to be with a bad prof, but if I switch, i'd have to have class a 9:00 instead of 11:00 (which is really nice!) :) Also, I wanted wheeler, but all of his classes are reserved for engineering students.

My daughter has a Russian calc professor for calc 2 and loves her. I do not know her name. If you want it, ask.

Keep in mind that rate my professor posters usually have extreme opinions–love 'em or hate 'em. You might believe the rating if very specific comments are made, but often (not always)the bad ratings are because students are messing around and failing, which of course is never the student’s fault.

MD Mom, I think you’re thinking of Prof. Sysoeva (SP?)

Did you take calculus in high school or is this your first calculus course? If you already have a solid background in calculus then a “bad” professor should not be a detriment.

Honors calculus is more in-depth, fast pace, concentrates on the theoretical and proofs.
