Calculate GPA?

I'm a junior and unsure how I'd calculate my weighted GPA at most top colleges...

If I'm correct, AP's count as 5's, if you get A's and Honors don't get any boost?

So, if my report card is like this:
US History AP - A
Physics AP - A
English AP - A
PreCalculus H - A
Spanish 3 - A
Ethics - A

Then, that means I have 4.0 unweighted and 4.5 weighted? (Because 5's for the 3 AP classes)...or am I incorrectly calculating my GPA?

You have calculated a weighted GPA correctly based on AP's adding one point on the 4.0 scale. However, you may or may not have done what any particular college will do. How colleges view grades varies. Some are more interested in class rank, some view only unweighted grades, some simply accept high school's method and then compare to others based on what they know about the high schools, some will give 1 extra or .5 extra to honors and AP. Many will look at only core college prep courses -- English, math, lab science, language, and social studies (meaning your Ethics grade may be ignored entirely).
