I just submitted my application to UT this morning. I am a sophomore at a Texas community college with a 3.75 gpa.

However this page:
http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/transfer/admission/factors/gpa

This has me concerened now that my gpa will drop because UT will calculate my gpa their way? My school does not calculate gpa in this manner..In fact I have a copy of my unofficial transcript and it only shows my grades as A/B. No A+ or A- so I'm confused.

Does UT change my gpa or they use the one I have currently at my college?

If your college transcript shows A or B they will count it as A or B not A-, or A+. UT will calculate your GPA based on your credits, grades from them. For example I had a 3.57 at my current school with 14 credits but UT only counted 13 of these credits because one of them was a freshman year university specific orientation course. In addition, I completed a winter term at my local community college and got a 4.0 with that course. My GPA went up to a 3.63 when UT calculated that. Had I not attended the community college in the winter, UT wouldve calculated my GPA to be 3.54. When your application gets processed and you receive your UT EID/your transcript is received you can go to the first page of the scholarship application(the biographical information page) and it will show you the GPA ut has calculated for you thus far, and how many credits they’ve counted towards your transfer!

Good luck!
Hopefully we will both be in austin in the fall!
