calculating major GPA, dumb question

When calculating major GPA, does one include grades received in prerequisite classes?

For instance, I'm an Economics major, but I have to take a calculus and statistics class as prerequisites. Do I count grades received in these classes in my major GPA?

Honestly, it doesn’t major.
Major GPA has no impact whatsoever on admissions, all that matters is your LSDAS GPA, which will include all classes.

GPA on the LSAC site shows A+ = 4.33

Sons school is on an A, B+ system, with A being the highest grade possible. How do they calculate the GPA at the site then?

The A will equal a 4.00.

So if a school grades with A+ being the highest, those students get the 4.33 and the student at the school where and A is the highest, only gets a 4.0?

Doesn’t seem right to me!

I’m sorry, but that’s just the way things are.

Go complain to the trustees of your institution.
