Calculating my first semester military performance

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2013 Plebe and I am curious to know what my current military performance grade is. Its not up on MIDs but I figured that there would be a way to calculate it with the current information that I have.

Sem QPR 4.0
PRT 88.1
Peer Rank 13/40
Upper 10/40
CO 25/40 (grades Plebes based on how they perform on the PRT)
Overall 23/40
MIL QPR 4.0

Your going to have a B in aptitude since that is solely based on your overall ranking. I believe the top 30% receive As next 40% or so Bs, ,and mostly everyone else gets a C. Overall nice work in your first semester with your 4.0.

You’re hitting 2 baggers with runners on base! You’ll soon find, not to disregard the other measures, but majoring in the majors means getting A’s in the classroom @ USNA, i.e. you miss those classroom A’s and your rank tanks. Conversely PRTs, etc. have a lesser impact. That said, work to ace them all, being cognizant that a primary strategy of a USNA education becomes an exercise in choice-making. This can become frustrating for those determined to try and get it all, all the time. Conversely, don’t allow that understanding to disable or diminish your efforts.

Congrats, you’re doing well. Many, and I mean MANY Mids would be delighted to swap for your marks. You’ve earned a very good, relaxing break. Take it.

Looks like your Military QPR was calculated in MIDS before your performance grade was entered. Your performance grade is based on your rankings.

If you look in MIDS now, your Military QPR probably dropped slightly (or significantly because the performance grade is worth a huge chunk of the military QPR) due to your B in performance. Usually a company officer (murderboard) ranking of 13/40 or less leads to a B. In a company of 40 plebes, 13 get A’s, 13 get B’s and 14 get C’s, usually.

You’re doing very well. Let me give you some of my rankings and show you that the Naval Academy experience is all about PROGRESSION.

I’m planning on attending the Naval Academy next year. Would anyone be willing to tell me what all of those numbers mean and how they are calculated?

Wow man! Nice grades. Is the CO ranking company commander or company officer? And hurry up 2014!!! I’m tired of being a plebe… Looking back at old posts I even said plebe summer was gonna be “fun”… Haha I wish…
