calculating the GPA

hi everybody, i have a question about how to calculate my own GPA. i have finished my junior year in spain, where i have always lived, but i will complete my senior year in phila. the question is: how i transfer the spanish GPA (over 10) to the american one. my marks are the following:

biology-------- 9
economics----- 10
philosophy----- 9
maths--------- 10
spanish-------- 10
french--------- 10
english--------- 10
health---------- 9
history--------- 10
geography------ 10

Its total 9.67, and the problem is that i dont know if 9 and 10 are considered both A's, so it would be 4 over 4; or it's other way. anybody knows?

I think a 9 could be considered an A, although I can't say for sure. It really depends on how hard Spanish courses are.

This is for University not High school. He is coming from Spain to compete High School and I assume attend College.

thks for your replies. Well, high schools here assume that 9 and 10 are like outstanding, and what i have read these days i think 9 is equal to 3.7/4 there or 4 depending on the HS you attend. And yes, i'm gonna do my senior next year and after completing it i hope to go a good college.
