calculator program for calc bc?

since collegeboard now says (don't know since when): "Calculator memories will not be cleared. Students are allowed to bring to the exam calculators containing whatever programs they want." on:

AP: Calculus AB

anyone know of good calculator program/notes for the calc section of the test? stuff like reiman sums, notes about sequences and series and how/when they converge/diverge, etc.?

Really? Awesomeee. I’d like to know as well.

^ These may be of interest.

hm wow pretty cool… i read some of the programs, and it can do some MVT and area revolutions. Too bad I won’t need it
gluck if u’re using the programs, make sure you get used to it before u walk in

If you’re bringing programs in, you should make sure that you know how to set up the problems properly, or at least that the program will do so, because there are very few things you can actually do on the AP Exam on your calculator without work:

(1) Finding the value of a derivative at a point, given the function and the point.
(2) Finding the value of a definite integral, given the integrand and the limits of integration. This usually requires writing the definite integral out first.
(3) Finding the zeroes of a function. By extension, this means you can find the intersection of two curves (since f(x) = g(x) is equivalent to f(x) - g(x) = 0). You should cite what you’re finding when you finding these (i.e. f(x) = g(x) at x = _____ and x = _____).
(4) Graph a given function on a given window. (I haven’t seen one of these in forever.)

So, for instance, if you’re doing the Riemann sums, you’re going to need to show the Riemann sum approximation and the result, and a lot of times, if you don’t have the Riemann sum, you’re ineligible for the result point, even if it’s correct. Unless the program would show all of this, it’s not particularly helpful.
