Calculator Question

Hey guys, I'm taking the ACT on Saturday, and I was wondering if my TI-Nspire would be alright for the math section. I know that on the website it says that TI-Nspires are fine as long they're not the CAS versions, but I don't really know if mine is. I have the yellow one that they sell to schools that has the touchpad thing and only says TI-npspire at the top. I've heard different things from different people and would like to know definitively if I can use it. Thanks in advance.

Your calculator would be a case if the name said so. All the CAS calculators are called “t-Nspire CAS” If yours doesnt have the word cas, then you should be all set!

You can find that on TI’s website. For TI-NSpire with touchpad, you may get the TI-84+ keypad for free and you can use that in any test. Some test do not allow calculator with letter keypad.

Thanks so much for the help guys. I think I’m just going to bring it and try to use it and bring a backup TI-83 just in case.

Did you register at TI and get the free TI84+ keypad? You definitely want to get it. For sure you can use it if you have the TI84+ keypad on it.
