i had bought ti-89 to use for the SAT II Math IIC, i consider myself very efficient in using it, and i know (i think) most of the features. But when test day came around what did I use? my friend's ti-83.</p>

<p>so, a good score <i>isn't</i> impossible with a ti89.</p>

<p>ahhahaha. you don't need graphing calc for iic. I just used a regular scientific calculator for it (didin't own a 89 yet). This year I bought an 89 which was mandatory. Haven't found a situation wheree I needed it yet. waste of $140 -_-</p>

<p>A graphing calculator is mandatory on the ap calc test, so you might as well get one.</p>
