Calculators for Calc AB

Do you take two calculators to take the test for calc AB? That's what I've heard. My teacher couldn't help. My school always does terrible in the test. Some people said last year they didn't know they need to take two calculators for the test. Is it true you need two calculators?

Also, how much differential equation material is in the test?

No, you do not need two calculators. Most of the students I know only have TI-84s, and they suffice.

Going off from memory, these DiffEq topics are on the test (some may be BC only):

 • Slope Fields
 • Euler’s Method
 • Separation of Variables
 • Exponential Model (y’ = ky)
 • Logistic Differential Equation

I don’t think TI84 can solve definite integrals though? I believe TI 89 can.

Thanks for the list of diff eq stuff.

@shmluza you can solve definite integrals on the TI-84. It should be an option under the math key. It near the bottom of the list on my calculator.

oh thank you. all the time we were using 89 for integrals. but I’ll look at my 84 closely.
