Calculators on the SAT

<p>You can use calculators but I really see no point whatsoever in using them. They rarely if ever help. I used it to check the one with the 3-4-6 triangle (law of cosines of course). That's all I used it for this last time.</p>

<p>That's true too. You really don't need a calculator.</p>

<p>I only brought a calculator to SAT testing once, and it was useless and distracting. I felt like I needed it to check all of my answers, when really I was just wasting time. I didn't bring one on Saturday and I am confident I scored something between 780 and 800. It's all a matter of preference, though.</p>

<p>I didn't really use my calc a lot either for doing the problems. Only used it to check the answers as I tend to make loads of silly mistakes. I am happy that they don't allow calc on some of the AP tests. American students are so dependent on them so they do worse withour them and the curve becomes more lenient.</p>
