Calculators

Can I use 2 calculators during the Math 2 test?
(I know it's weird, but it's faster for me to use the Nspire with a TI-84)

You can have one as a backup but I don’t think you can use two at once (i.e., go back and forth between them).

Haha, I just got the image in my head of someone using two calculators at the same time while frantically scrambling over answers =D.

thats too bad. hopefully ill be able to remember everything i put on the nspire.

I know that AP Calculus allows 2 calculators during calculator portions of the exam (I actually used 2). However, that’s stated specifically on AP Central. The SAT website has nothing on using multiple calculators. I doubt your proctor would mind you using 2; he/she might not let you keep both on your desk at once, though.

You can probably bring two if one is a backup, but I doubt that they’ll let you use two at once. Just picture the image in your head: doesn’t it seem sketchy having someone frantically typing between two calculators? It looks like you are storing the answers to the test in the calculator to pass to someone else.

^ why would you need two calculators if you plan on passing on the answers?

@pi
thats what I did as well

everyone stared at me like i was a nut and a couple people giggled when I asked about two calculators. I didn’t even use the second one.
lol
