Calculus AB - Got a 5 | am taking Calculus BC now: do I need to take the AP test for that?

Someone told me that if I got a 5 on Calc AB, taking AP test for Calc BC is a waste of time.
Should I take the Calc BC test or not? Any disadvantage to not taking it?
Applying direct to major: Computer Science for Fall 2020

Depending on the college, a 5 on BC may get you higher subject credit or advanced placement in math than a 5 on AB. You need to look up the AP credit listing for each college that you may apply to.

https://admit.washington.edu/apply/transfer/exams-for-credit/ap/ indicates that University of Washington - Seattle does not give higher subject credit or advanced placement for a 5 on BC versus a 5 on AB. But you are probably not applying only to University of Washington - Seattle.

In contrast, https://admission.wsu.edu/apply/ap-ib-and-running-start/ap-credit-chart/ indicates that Washington State University gives higher subject credit and advanced placement for a 5 on BC versus a 5 on AB.
