Calculus AB help

I think I’m in a bit of trouble. I haven’t been exposed to many of the caliber of free-response questions; and my book seems to be totally out-of-date. What should I do? I don’t want a get below a 5 in a subject I’ve done so well in this well.

Go to the college board website. They have free response questions from the past several years. You could probably find older ones if you looked around various sites (although I’d reccommend the more recent ones).

Here’s the link:
<a href=“AP Calculus AB Exam – AP Students | College Board”>http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/calculus_ab/samp.html?calcab</a></p>

The scoring guidlines show you the answer and all the work you need to show, and also the amount of points each part of the question was worth.

Also, 2006 #1 bc are washer method problems I saw that would be good for practice. If you have trouble with them, feel free to ask for help.

2006 #1c is done more efficiently and quickly as a shell, rather than a washer.

However, you may not have learned the shell method in AB. It’s a BC topic.

I actually do know the shell method pretty. I’ll simply have to fully understand the washer problems as well as some other stuff.

I’ve been using that website for a while, but some of the stuff are aspects of a concept I’ve never been exposed to in class. I’m currently isolating what I haven’t learned.

Are work problems and Rolle’s theorem tested on the Calc AB exam?

No work problems. Rolle’s is usually tested as part (i.e. a certain case) of the Mean Value Theorem (I think that’s the name).
