I am thinking about taking Calculus AB over the summer in college and to take Calculus BC during the school year. For those of you who taken Calculus AB, do you think it would be a good idea? Would I be able to watch up with the class? I do have a decent knowledge of pre-calculus.
welcome for your comments :P

There is a lot of material to study for Cal. AB, so good luck. Personally, I would have taken AB at school and BC at some college.

hmm its possible but i suggest you find someone to explain some things to you because it can get a little confusing. Many books fail to explain varied examples and only focus on a narrow amount of material.

calculus in general is a joke, it's very easy and by itself it can be taught to a middle schooler, the only problem is your strength in the algebras, especially algebra 2, because much of calculus requires a solid knowledge of foundation mathematics. But to be honest, if you've been doing pretty good in school math so far, Calculus should be a breeze, and you can definitely do it over the summer.

I would dissagree. I know some people who know perfectly fundamental math (with 800 on math SAT) but still got a 4 on the AP Cal.

I agree with ktoto about taking AB at the school and BC over the summer

What I stated actually came from my AP teacher who is one of the selected teachers to score the Calculus AB tests in June.

^ agreed.
-I know the concepts but I make careless algebra mistakes on 99% of my tests and such. The ideas are really not that hard to conceptualize until you get into multivariable calculus.
