Calculus AB

Hello! This year I am taking AP Calculus AB. I am decent at math, and I understand the concepts. Yet, whenever I am taking a test/ quiz, I am completely confused. I am a bit nervous since the test comes up in a few months. This year, I decided to study for two other AP tests outside of my school courses, so I am having a difficult time balancing everything. How do I improve? The class moves so quickly, and so much is covered in so little time. I am struggling in the class, and I do not know what to do. I do not want to give up hope yet.

Don’t give up hope. Give up studying for AP exams you don’t need and focus on doing well in school. You don’t need to self-study AP exams. College admissions are not impressed by that. They say so. They really don’t want kids sitting around doing that, especially not if it’s going to make their grades suffer.

AP Calculus AB is a challenging class. I second the recommendation to focus on your classes already in school. Learning to study when classes get hard is such an important skill. What are you doing to help yourself in Calc AB? What have you found already? What would you like to be able to find?

Thanks!
I wanted to take physics as a class, but it was not available during the free periods I had. I think it is one of my favorite subjects, which is why I chose to join the AP group. You guys are right; I probably should have not joined.
The sad thing is, it is too late to quit now (my tests were ordered).
Nonetheless, thanks for your advice! I would have bee wise to follow it at the beginning of the year! Haha!
