Calculus at UT or ACC?

I haven't taken a math in 4 years, but I have switched my major to Marine Science. Now I am required to take calculus, however, I don't know where would be best for me. Should I take M408K at UT or the ACC equivalent this summer? And if both are about the same, is this course possible to take if I have forgotten most math?

I would recommend you taking the course at ACC, as they are most likely to help you with any problems you would encounter with calculus after not taking math for 4 years. They have tutorials available pretty much all the time (there is even a designated section in each campus dedicated to this), not only from peers, but from those who are highly qualified and know their stuff as well (PhDs, etc.). Most classes from what I’ve observed there are comfortably around 30 students and the professors are generally quite reachable!

As a student who has yet to even apply to college (not until next year), I do not know much about UT however, except that it is a very, very large school. I have heard from several current students and alumni that it is or was difficult for them to get any needed attention or concern with their performance or even attendance in class. With a class like calculus, I would imagine that your class would be quite large and it would be difficult to receive decent assistance.

I would also recomend ACC and I would recomend Doring if he is teaching it. The previous poster did a good job of explaining the advantages.
