Calculus BC AP Test before AB version

Okay so I've been self studying this summer. I just finished precalculus using khan academy's wide variety of videos and a textbook covering math analysis. I started calculus AB (calculus 1) this week. Its two weeks before the new semester and I'd like to know if I can actually take the AP test set for BC instead of the AP test for AB because I know I'll have it down by the second term due to a project I that need multi-variable in. That's pretty much it. I want to take the BC test before the AP test. Can I?

Of course you can. AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC are two separate courses, like all of the other courses. As such, all of the AP exams can be done at any time. The only exception is that you can’t take both the AB and BC tests in the same year (mainly because of how similar the material is on both tests).

Thanks a million Darksaber21! (:

Why? AB test is part of BC test.

@4kidsdad: It was also stated by the OP:
“…I’d like to know if I can actually take the AP test set for BC INSTEAD of the AP test for AB…”
(capitalized word mine)
I think I read on another thread that the OP is not a native English speaker. That would make sense, because I had a little trouble understanding his/her post.
