Hi. i’m going to be a premed at brown, and i plan on taking calculus, chem, and bio my first semester at brown. I got a 4 on the AP exam for bio and am taking the calc AB and chem exams this week. Do I need to take a placement test for calc if i get a 4 or 5 on the exam but decide to take calc I over again? Can i just take Calc 1 over? Or should i go to calc 2? For bio and chem, i’ll need to take them over and not ask for credit as I’m a premed. So Do I have to take a placement test or could i put myself into bio and chem 1. Ideally, I’d like to take calc 1, chem 1, and bio 1 with writing my first semester. Any placement tests required? Also, do most premeds start out doing the basics first or do they ask for AP credit?
