<p>Hi, I'm going to be a Freshman at NC State this fall and I'm trying to figure out what math class to take. I am fairly confident that I passed the AP Calculus AB test, but do all vet schools accept AP credit? And as far as I know, calculus 2 isn't required, but would it look good to take it anyway? Or should I just take calc 1 even if I pass the test for an easy A? Also any other advice on other classes or electives to take or anything else would be very appreciated! Thanks :)</p>
<p>Also, they have two different versions of Calculus 2. One is regular Calculus 2 and one is an easier version called “Calculus for Life and Management Sciences B” . Is taking that one fine or would it look better if I took the harder one?</p>
<p>Preveterinary courses normally emphasize on sciences. Veterinary medical colleges mostly require the applicants to have optimim knowledge in organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, biochemistry, general biology, animal biology, animal nutrition, genetics, vertebrate embryology, cellular biology, microbiology, zoology, and systemic physiology.
Only some programs require calculus, some require only statistics, college algebra and trigonometry, or pre-calculus. It varies with the college and the kind of course you are opting for. So it’s better to ask the administrator of specific colleges about their coverage in math.</p>
