Calculus Destroying GPA

Hey guys, I have kind of a crazy situation going on here. I had a 3.98 unweighted GPA going into senior year, taking all IB and AP classes. I got one B+ freshman year in Bio (teacher was mental). I have been struggling with BC Calc (AP) and I got a C first trimester. Aside from that, I got all A's (IB Physics, AP Spanish, Hist, English, etc.). Is this going to ruin my chances at some college admissions? I'm applying to Boston U, Syracuse, UDenver, and then some more challenging schools like Northwestern, UVA, UMich, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, and Dartmouth, obviously a reach (with a very strong letter of rec from an alumni). I scored 2110 on the SAT and did well on the Spanish and Math 2 subject tests. Also, I have very strong letters of recommendation, two sports, and leadership. Thanks for your input. Also, I can audit Calc (won't be on transcript) and take Statistics 2/3 trimester. Would it look better to take Calc and struggle or take Statistics and shine? Are my chances shot for my reach schools?

Don’t worry about the C. Fight for at least a B, but if you can’t reach it you will be ok.
You should stay in Calculus as it should become easier as it settles in. (BC is pretty crazy compared to AB, I took it Sophomore year).
The C will not affect your chances if you show that you work hard. Don’t worry.

Did you take Ab last year or were you “thrown in” straight after honors precalc?
If you think you can get a B, stay in calc BC - rough beginnings but if you had an A in honors precalc it means you can do it.
If you think you’re too far behind, switch to Statistics. You’ll just take Calculus in college.

I think you would be alright if you have good recs, good SAT.
