I was reading the book 'the gatekeepers' about admissions at Wes (written about 13 yrs ago), and I was noticed that when it was talking about the essential data points of an applicant that it places in each applicant's folder, it listed whether or not the applicant took calculus. If so , 'MTHM' was coded. If not , it would be one of the items that would raise a red flag on an app and would have to be explained or excused, I think the text said.

Is this true? What if you are not going into a STEM major at Wes? Would AP stats be an acceptable replacement?
