Calculus HW due tomorrow! .. help!

I have 15 hw problems for calc ab and I have no idea how to do them… Please someone help me out by letting me know the steps or something? I can’t understand them and they’re due tomorrow!

Find the derivative of the following:

y = 5 cot (2/x)

y = sin^-5 x - cos^3 x

y = tan(2x - x^3)

y= ( sinx / 1 + cosx) ^2

y = sec(tan x)

y = sin^3 x tan 4x

y = 4 /``````````(sq. root) sec x + tan x

 • y = (x^2 + 5x - 1) / (x^2)

 • y = (x-1) (x^2 + x + 1) / (x^3)

 • y = cos^-1 (x^2)

 • y = sin^ -1 /```````````` 2x

y = sec^2 (2x + 1)

y = (1) / (sin^-1 (2x))

y = sec^-1 5x

y = csc^-1 (x/2)

Thanks!

 •
You have to use the chain rule (dx/du times du/dy) Take the derivative of the whole thing and multiply it by the derivative of the argument.

And you need to know the derivatives of the trig functions. I don't remember them all by heart, but I'm sure your textbook has a list of them.
