Calculus Placement Test

Does anyone know more information about this test that you have to take before being able to register for the Calculus I class?

Can you use a Calculator? How long this this test?

Thanks

I think I took it, since I started out in Calc II. Since none of the calculus classes - I, II, or III - allow you to use a calculator, I don't expect the placement test will allow you to use one, either. I think the test is about one hour long.

lol, i took calculus bc in my sophmore year and i completely forgot everything. i am going to fail the placement test. nice

damn!

too bad you gotta take calc I at stern again. i don't think stern accepts AP calc credits.

I think it's like this

45mins for test
no cal
if you get a 750 sat math, 5 math ab, 3 math bc, or 34 act math, you automatically get placed in cal I or above.

xflash: No. Stern will accept AP calc credits, but you still have to take one math class at NYU - if you got a 5 on the AP test and want to apply it, then you would take Calc II.
