<p>At my school there are two paths after algebra 2 with trig (one course) to choose from:
pre-calculus and analytic geometry (two separate courses).</p>
<p>Both are feeders to the calculus course at our school. I have taken algebra 2 with trigonometry before and want to learn calculus next year. Many students I've talked to claim that trig was enough for them.</p>
<p>Are the courses listed above needed to understand calculus?</p>
