Cali OSS

I just moved to california, and am going to a CCC for 1 year (already have some credits) and will be applying to a UC this fall. Will it hurt my that I'm Out of State, even though I'm currently in a CCC? Is there anyway I can say I'm "In state" as it is my intention to live here during the summer and holidays and what-not?

Gaining residency for UC purposes is very difficult. In most cases, those who came here for HS gain residency. But for your case, your going to need more years than 1.

Will this hurt me in the admission process or will they see me attending a CCC as the same as being a resident?

I really dont know, call the UC of your choice and ask for a transfer counselor/adviser, they will let you know. I know that if you take 30 units at a CC you are under consideration for the priority cc students get, however, i am not sure for OOS students!

its probably going to hurt your chances.

lol this guy; he thought he could just move here and POOF his chances would be equal....tst tst tst good luck
