<p>So the UC’s and Csu’s have been hit by budget problems for the past decade. Of course nobody knows when it will be over, but I want to ask all of you guys on your guess on when the UC’s and Csu’s will finally be not hit with budget cuts and have more students graduate in 4 years.</p>
<p>My guess is 3-4 more years of money problems. You guys?</p>
<p>Well, the state now provides only about 20% of the UCs budget and if current trend continue then the UC system will pretty much become a private institution. So if the state continues to provide a low percentage of the budget and the universities find more private sources of income as they have done in the past to compensate for the budget shortfalls, then the budget problems won’t have much effect on the students. I am guessing the state will cut the UC budget even more next year.</p>
