California college of the arts in SF

Can someone please tell me more about this school? I visited the web site and I loved it. What ddo you guys think of this school?

San Francisco Art Institute is a better choice

well, I just want to more about this school..
Was it famous? Well, is it easy to get into?
Looking at the website, they don't seem to ask for the sat nor the gpa.. but they did ask for 2 essays.. but thats all.

well, can someone please tell me more about this school. I visited their website and loved it.

is it good?

I've heard CCAC is an excellent school, much better than the Academy of Art College in SF. Is there anything on the website where you can email a student and ask them questions? That could help you.

The only other thing I've heard about this school is that housing is in Oakland and a bunch of the classes are in SF. I could be wrong though.

If you're in-state within a reasonable distance you should visit the campus.

It used to be that you could cross-register with USF--I'm not sure that this is the case anymore... From what I've heard, it's a good school.

i went to precollege there, the classes are really small, the equipment is pretty good, but the transit from housing to campus is rough. the professors will /adore/ you if you show the slightest bit of enthusiasm, and the area of oakland it is in is A-DOR-ABLE. the big building in SF is freezing. yikes.

Living in the Bay Area for years, CCAC was known for some serious art grads. I know that of my friends that went to CCAC, all but one are making a living (though not rich and famous) with their art.
