California community college questions

So I want to go to a community college in California but one that has a lot of classes to offer (to fulfill the requirements of my major) but also one where I can easily get into classes, in other words one that doesn't have thousands of students fighting over parking and registering for classes is a struggle cause they run out after an hour etc.

I was considering Santa Monica community college, but than I heard it has tons and tons of students fighting over classes, parking etc. and that's a HUGE turn off ..

If it matters I want to transfer into UCLA or UCB or UCSD
my major
UCLA- biochemistry
UCB- molecular bio with emphasis in biochemistry
UCSD- Biochemistry

Please and thank you very very much !! any and all input is greatly appreciated.

And also I would like a community college in where the cost to live in the surrounding area isn’t absolutely crazy … which I heard Santa Monica’s cost to live is through the roof.

I hope im not asking for to much :(

honestly, i dont think there is a CC in cali that isnt crowded…a lot of classes were cut in the past due to budget cuts, and as for easily getting into classes everyone is going to “fight” over it regardless because everyone just wants to take the good professor or the easy classes/way out.

I see
Well is there a CC that the cost of living in the surrounding area isn’t to high and where they have a decent amount of courses available to fulfill major … I guess those are the main things than :)

hmm well theres lots that arent too high. For me, I went to Solano CC. Living in this county isnt that expensive probably because it isnt that safe in some areas…But then again there are other cities that have it worse. There is also Napa Valley College. And DVC if you want to be in a “safer” area I guess. But from what I hear that school has a good rep but kinda pricey just cus their parking permits are like $20 for summer while SCC’s is $6. There are also others like American River CC, contra costa college, de anza, etc. But those are just some in norcal.

Is Los angeles harbor college good ? in terms of everything I mentioned above ?

That idk because I’m from NorCal.

I would definitely reccommend santa barbara city college Iattended there and I loved it. If you register early you can get all of your classes and there are tons of programs that help you finish your math and english requirements in one go. They have excellent transfer rates to all of the uc’s and is the number 1 city college in california. Living is affordable because there are so many people moving from out of town everyone is looking to split rent and there are many student housing options available as well. They rent out the apartments across the school to students and half the utilities are paid for. Plus the social life is a plus :)
