<p>Agree you should try Arizona or NM. University of Arizona is like 3.5 hours to rocky point. </p>
<p>no one will care what your weighted GPA is, OP. they’ll want the unweighted GPA, and yours is not going to get you where you want to go in CA publics with money. </p>
<p>California is very competitive for everything, especially for jobs. The expenses are outrageous because everyone wants to live here. You’re seeing the state through sun colored glasses. Grades and SAT are not competitive for the schools here.</p>
<p>Add Texas and Florida for warm/sunny places. Lots of really good schools out there.</p>
