Hi everyone...

So an affliction of Winston Smith has fallen upon me.

For freshman and sophomore year GPA has been 4.49, all APs, enrolled in the engineering program in STEM, MESA, et cetera. In junior year it was not as stellar due to tragedies occurring that dragged on and impacted the end of the first term (block schedule).

Currently I am a senior in high school, and the first term started off very unsteadily because of some disputes with my school's admin for challenging authority (for something really ridiculously exacerbated), which resulted in my being sent to the hospital, which made me even more disappointed with systems and policies. My counselor was involved, and with this bias, so talking to her about this... yes.

Sorry about the digression, basically I am one of the interns at my school working part time for Apple, and would much rather work there for the rest of my life, but can't reapply at the moment because I'm a minor.

So, I've registered for the CHSPE in October, so that in the chance I drop out of high school to work full time at Apple I would be able to (however I will probably continue schooling if I pass).

If I do drop out, though, and want to study abroad, would the prerequisites be different (than California)? I really do not want to school in the United States, sadly, but will if I have to-- how would I go about making up high school requirements to attend a UC or private college afterwards? Could I make up high school credits by doing the equivalent of a senior year abroad?

tldr; For those that took the CHSPE, what was it like? How did you proceed with school/life afterwards?

For those that have studied their senior year abroad, where did you go and what was it like? How did you manage university/college afterwards?

Thank you so much for reading!
