Hi, you guys I need help! Okay, so I have live in California for basically most of my life. I have moved to Texas twice but only for two years the first time and one year the second time. I just moved back from Texas in June so am I a California resident? I have a California Student ID thing. What should I put for residency? Because I can't afford out of state tuition!

I think you will be characterized as a resident as long as you have live in California for one year before starting college and as long as you intend to make California your permanent residence.

See [Establishing California Residence for Tuition Purposes, Office of the Registrar](404 - Page Not Found) for rules applicable to determining residency for UCs and CSUs (the chart on that page is from UCSB’s site but the rules are the same for all California public colleges). As you will see the key will be not just that you live in Cal but where your parents live unless you are either independent of parental support or will be over 24 by December 31, 2012.
