did any of you guys receive mails??
im waiting for deerfield, andover, and taft
i think this is a bad sign... my mailbox is empty :(

you guys would have it if you were accepted

I didn’t get anything yet… Then again I haven’t checked the mail yet.

aww does that mean we’re rejected? ![]()
snapepotter/ did u get anything?

Depends on whether or not you got your regular mail yet, obviously.

im in CT and i dont have anything.

oh shoot
andover and taft said they sent it yesterday
do we expect to get it today if we’re accepted?
and deerfield is my first choice… but there’s no sign of acceptance
i got waitlisted last year…

Depending on where you are in CA, you could receive a Deerfield acceptance tomorrow or Friday. Waitlists/Rejections will come later.

There’s still hope! I was getting sad because I hadn’t heard from Deerfield yet but its too soon to give up. And I’m from the midwest not west coast btw.

oh
so acceptances don’t always arrive at march 10th?

Well I got an email, so I know something’s coming eventually.

hopefully it’s an acceptance

Yeah, I live in SoCal near LA… and I haven’t gotten any boarding school mail yet! :

Have you guys gotten anything? Is it just because it needs to get all the way to the west coast? Is it a bad sign if we haven’t gotten anything?

yes it is a bad sign.

Snape, it would really help if you could elaborate. How is it a bad sign/why/what exactly does it mean?

What area do YOU live in?

CT it’s bad coz the schools do the fastest mail for accepted students only. they dont want to waste money on expensive postage for rejected students

what about emails? The same thing they won’t send them out faster to those rejected or did they just not get them all out yet? Im an east coaster applying to west coast schools.

Well, after seeing 5+ threads saying "OMG I HAVENT GOT ANYTHING FROM ANDOVER’ (including one by myself =P) I think we can safely say that the only people who got stuff today were ones who live in New England. Many people in the west coast as well as south east and even places semi-close like the carolinas haven’t gotten their decisions yet. So I THINK that letters should arrive by saturday.

The alternative is that we all got rejected lol, but the odds of that are astronomical.

I live about 45 min. from Andover, which means we were close enough to somehow receive a rejection letter that had today’s postmark on it! Can’t speak to the FedEx deliveries, since we weren’t blessed to receive one. But from what I’ve seen looking at last year’s postings, a lot of the acceptance weren’t received until the 11th - so don’t give up hope!

And, thank goodness, the one California school we applied to sent us an email! :D

where do you live and what school was it? And thanks for the input.
