so apparently yale called my guidance counselor asking for third quarter grades. she wasn't able to give them any information, since grades don't come out for about 2 more weeks. i'm not sure if she thought to give them any kind of positive update. i'm guessing this means i'm on the fence (good and bad, depending on how you look at it), but do you think yale not seeing my third quarter grades will count against me?

Nope - it means they’ll only pass judgment based on what they’ve got, which is good if you’ve been doing worse, and unfortunate if you’ve excelled.

i hope that doesn’t happen to me…i didn’t do bad but i definitely did worse lol

blue, that shows they are really very interested in you! They wouldn’t have called otherwise. Lucky you!

just throwing this out there- my first semester grades weren’t too bad, but certainly not impressive. there was a b- in the mix, which i think they were hoping to see improved. hence, the request for the third quarter grades.
