calling all boeing, lockheed martin, nasa, or aerospace employees! what schools did you guys go to?

One of my history professors has an Aerospace Engineering degree from Georgia Tech…I guess he didn’t really like it though because after 10 years of working in that field he went back to college and got his masters in Russian history.

Post #20, one guy I know graduated with AE from Georgia Tech and is working his family farm, no not what you think. He grows organic produce for his family in the Bay Area.

It depends on which business unit you work in. Even within the same company, different lines of business have entirely different compensation plans, benefits, etc. It certainly isn’t the gold standard anymore. I work for one of those companies and have a friend who works for a different unit. Our work environment and benefits differ quite a bit from each other.

Sis in law worked for Lockheed right out of college, went to Lafayette (but majored EE)

Boeing pays pretty well, depending on location.( H, my grandfather, my mom, my brother, his nephew, another nephew by marriage, and lots of friends, have worked/currently work at Boeing, only one has an AE degree)
Space X pays * really* well.( but COL is high) One of Ds friends works there after attending an instate directional ( although I don’t think it was in state for him).
