Calling all current Deerfield sophmores class of 2015

<p>I was just accepted as a new student (entering as a junior) for the 2015 school year. I just wanted to know what the sophomores think of the school and if I can get a rolling list of names that I can familiarize myself with. (please don't post names on forum PM if desired). I also want to know what is best for winter wear. (I'll be moving from Texas so the winter will be a shock in MA). Also if anyone is on the cheer leading team, how hard is it to get on? any certain stunts (i.e toe touch, back handspring etc.) Lastly, how is the skiing and snowboarding, and ice skating activities? I really want to try the sports but I have very little experience in them. Will they teach me the ropes or will I have had to have a good amount of prior knowledge?</p>

<p>HT2465, The Deerfield ski team is very competitive. But it’s always fun to try new sports/ECs. Wait until you get here to buy winter wear as you won’t need them until later. Class of 2015 is an awesome class and you’ll get all the help you need from current students.</p>
