There's alot of discussion on these forums as to what the minimum GPA is for high school seniors to not get rescinded.
Rather than spawn a billion more threads with essentially the same question, I've decided to end the ambiguity surrounding this topic once and for all.

Therefore, this inquiry goes out to all UCLA students (2009 or later).
What was your unweighted GPA in your senior year, and how many of your letter grades were C's?

I asked admissions office about this, and for sure, the requirement is an unweighted GPA of 3.00, counting only the classes on their UC-approved list. For example, I am only taking AP Physics, AP English Literature, Cal State Fullerton Calculus, Orchestra, and a few other elective classes. AP Physics, AP English, and Orchestra are on the approved list, so their grades will factor towards the unweighted GPA. Calculus, however, is a college course and will not factor into this overall GPA. I'm sure this question was answered the same as I have, but there's an example just in case.

rule of thumb: just keep doing what you have been doing.

If you got into UCLA, your GPA is somewhere between a B average and A average, most likely towards the latter. Just continue that trend and dont think you got it made and blow everything off 'cuz you got accepted.

its always avoidable unless you're injured or ill or had some major family crisis that caused you to miss assignments/tests. in which case, you have a legitamite reason for your grade not being as high as it should.

However, just to be safe, get B's and A's.

Calculus at my school is offered from a Cal State Fullerton program. At other schools, you may have AP Calculus A/B or whatever, which should be listed under the UC-approved list for your school.

Yeah, if only more people had VTEC's attitude... it's like all of a sudden senior year goes bad and people feel the need to just barely scrape by.

However.. if that kinda minimalistic attitude carried through to here, maybe the curves won't be so high! :p

i procrastinated a good amount senior year, and probably even more now. but your grade can be whatever you want it to be. did you REALLY want that A? If you ended up with a B, then you didnt what that A enough.

my UCLA GPA is depressing compared to my high school GPA. :(
