Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland AND the rest of the SADC member states, even though some are not really in the south!

Hi everyone, lets introduce ourselves and stop lurking. There's always a lack of Southern Africans on the forum but when I look at the college pages, I see Zimbabwean names. Please come out and introduce yourself, where you are from and let us know if you get accepted. Come out and let's help each other.

I'm from Zimbabwe and live in Zim. Applying to about 20 - 25 schools - still in the process of submitting the rest.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Does anyone have info on UCT admissions standards for international students? I read the PDF for the basic requirements, but was wondering what it was like for those that were admitted.

I’m a student from the US looking for direct enrollment to an engineering major.

To be honest I’m not sure. If an accepted local student’s stats are anything to go by my NBT was AL 81%, QL 80%, MATH 91% and I had 6 As in high school. So I’m thinking you’d need at least 4 As and above 80% in each section of the NBT and, as far as I know, you’d be in (assuming you don’t need financial aid).

hello people Zambia the real africa here! am applying to grad school (2 schools) already. interview in one and really waiting on fulbright outcome but am a finalist! all the best to those that are applying. Let chat let set this site on fire!

Thanks maankamaanka. I didn’t apply for aid, but NYU is known to not give anything to international students anyway. Good luck for your interview!!
