Calling all those who improved their math score by 100+ points or more

I got a 670 math. This sucks really bad. How can I improve it to a 760? I have the Barron's math workbook, Kaplan math workbook, and some others including blue book. For someone who has improved his/her score by practicing please tell me what you did and what book you used. Thanks I really need to pull it up by October.

Basically, you want to have as much practice as possible with the Blue Book. (Since there are only 8 tests, you might want to space your practices out). Do the Sample Practice Test CB gives out every year the night before you take the SATs (will be a good indication of what you will get the next day).

PR was good for strategies (I used it before my first test) and Barrons to look up the concepts (for me it was the geometry ratio crap) you are not so strong in.

It's definitely possible. Went from 700 to 800! I really believe that mathematics is all about confidence.

oh but I have finished all the practice tests from the CB book. But one thing I haven't yet done: look at all the answer explanations for any of the problems. Do you think that would help a lot?Do you recommend using Barron's Math Workbook?

Mine went up 70 points just from managing my time better. Don't spend too long on one question.

I think it is important to look at the explanation to the questions right after you finish the section. This way it is fresh in your memory and when you take a later test and have a similar problem you will see if you remember how to do it.

oh ok. But what should I do between now and October to help bring up that 670 to a 750+?

I would find another book that has alot of practice tests and then do what I said above. I'm not sure what books are good so I'll let others advise you there.

I took the test in January and raised my score 100 points (this time i got a ****ing 670) I reviewed all the lessons in the Barron's anddid the 6 tests in that book and a bunch of tests from several other books (Kaplan, Bluebook, peterson's, 11 practice tests...etc)
