hey fellow finalists, post your stats here, and we can prepare for the interview together! also, post which explore usc date you're attending and if usc is your first choice.

well i guess i better go first-you might've seen my stats before

1580 highest combined SAT, 800/740/740, 3.95 UW
ASB, basketball, Science Olympiad-to name the main ones

first explore usc session (2/24-25)

How did you find out you were a finalist? Did it come in your accept letter or in another mailing?

another mailing.

where are all the finalists??

I received my acceptance on Thursday and haven't received any scholarship notification yet... I am SO SCARED!! I'm wondering if the letters for the full scholarships were sent out first and then the letters for the half scholarships sent out later.... Which would mean I'm getting a half scholarship... I'd be so disapointed after getting my hopes up.

I got my acceptance yesterday (Friday)... I live off the coast of GA on an island, so I definitely thought it was going to take wayyyyy longer for me, but I guess not!? I got my finalist letter today... I am thinking about going on the Feb. 24-25 date. Anyone else going then???

Oh yeah stats: 1550 combined, 800/790/760, 4.0 UW, #1 rank
Crew/rowing team, Yearbook, Model UN, Peer Mentor/Counselor

Oh my goodness! I am scared about the interview! I wonder what kind of questions they are going to ask. Does anyone know??

hi guys,

I got a trustee scholarship invitation too, but I don't know if I'm going to go or if I can even make it. USC isn't exactly my first choice, and I'm mostly waiting to hear back from the Bac/MD program--anyone know anything about that yet?

Is there any way we can just arrange an interview if we can't make it Explore USC?

The Trustee scholarship is full tuition for only 1 year, right?

no, all four, I think

When were your guys scholarship letters postmarked? Were they in envelopes and where do you live?

mine was postmarked feb 2. i just got it in the mail today - i live in NM. it was in a 6x9 envelope. does anybody know if the presidential scholarship and other ones are separate from the trustee (as in, different people are invited for different scholarships) or is it like everybody gets invited for the trustee scholarship interview and some ppl get it while others get the presidential and so on?

yeah, its definitely full tuition for all four years

Haven't gotten an invite yet for scholarship interview, but just wondering in case, what are the possible weekends to do the Explore USC/ interview besides Feb 24-25th. Thanks.

the other one is feb 28th - march 1st.... i think its a monday-tuesday

this might be a totally ignorant question, but just wondering if we do get a scholarship interview invite, then do we have to pay for the flight to get over there? just wondering, thanks.

are you guys gonna go to the explore usc thingy? i want to go. my dad wont go. i have to go alone. everybody else is going with a parent, right? i'll have to fly alone, eat alone, be alone for a whole 2 days. and plus i'll probably fail my interview. does anybody else feel a sense of impending doom?

btw, little john, i think they pay for half your ticket or something.

yeah, if you are from farther away than arizona/nevada, etc. they will pay for up to $200 of your flight if you book it through their travel agency

ok...what r u guys planning on wearing??
r your parents coming w/ u?
what questions do u think they're gonna ask??

i think it says that they want your parents to come if possible.... and i am wearing "business attire" for the interview bc that is what is "recommended"... and i think its just questions about you, your interests in and out of school, why you want to come to USC, what you can contribute..... typical interview questions!

haley8733, is sc your first choice??
