Hey guys!! the University of Southern California is my absolute dream school, specifically Annenberg School of Journalism and Communications. I want to be a Broadcast Journalism major! (However, when I attended Discover USC last month, my admissions officer told me they had combined all journalism majors into one giant Journalism major-which is great, so that’s what I will be applying for!) So, a little insight on me. I am only 15 and have just started my sophomore year. Last year as a freshman I took Honors English, and CP my other classes. I also took Journalism. I participated in field hockey, dance, competitive cheerleading, softball, and the talent show. This year I have expanded upon that and am doing more, along with several added clubs and the school musical. My GPA currently is a 99.4 but I plan to bring it up much, much more. For a future broadcast journalism USC applicant, what can I begin doing right now to strengthen my application and make it more interesting? Also, I’m not sure if this is a pro or a con, but I live across the country in New Jersey. Thank you guys!!! If you have any advice or opinions, I would totally appreciate it!!! USC is my dream school, and it is so compelling to me because not only is it in my ideal location- LA, but it has the best facilities, faculty, alumni, academics, and even their activities are the absolute best! The Helenes, the Song Girls, the Spirit Leaders, The Morning Brew Talk Show- there is so much I want to be a part of if I get in!!! Praying I can do it!!! Thanks so much everyone!
